Your appointment4

How long is a first appointment?

We spend 60 minutes on your history, previous results, goals and a physical examination. Together we decide which further assessments and treatments make sense. We discuss their scope, timing and costs with you; not every test takes place at the first visit. You can upload existing records to the portal beforehand.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is required. Book directly via Doctolib, or message us if you are unsure which appointment type fits best.

Can I be treated in English?

Yes. Appointments with us are fully available in German or English; just tell us your preference when booking.

What defines your approach?

We bring together different ways of understanding your body: bloodwork, body composition, strength, mobility and a hands-on examination of your joints and muscles. Your symptoms and goals guide which tests we use. The findings shape a treatment plan for the practice and everyday life: nutrition, training, recovery and targeted supplements where needed. Follow-up appointments review your results, physical function and symptoms together.

Diagnostics4

Do I need to choose my tests in advance?

No. We start with your history and physical examination. Depending on the question, we may add bloodwork, a body composition scan, VALD strength and movement testing, or fitness and recovery assessments. We explain what each assessment can tell us and how the results guide treatment. We agree scope and costs with you in advance.

Which values do you test?

That depends on your history. Typical panels cover micronutrients, thyroid including free values, and inflammation and metabolic markers. We test with purpose, not on suspicion, and you'll know the cost of every test up front.

What does the check-up include?

A thorough history, physical examination, comprehensive blood work including micronutrients, plus functional diagnostics. We tailor the exact scope to you: no one-size-fits-all packages.

Do I need an MRI or X-ray?

No. Bring what you have; the functional examination is what matters. If imaging is needed, we arrange it specifically.

Treatment & follow-up4

Do you provide treatment yourselves?

Yes. We combine diagnostics with medical treatment in our practice. Depending on your findings, this may include manual medicine, functional therapy, individual exercise programmes and targeted micronutrient therapy. For musculoskeletal concerns, initial treatment is often possible at your first visit. Where other specialties are needed, we coordinate your care with them.

What happens after I receive my results?

Your doctor brings lab results, body and movement measurements together with the examination and your goals. These shape a personal plan for medical treatment, nutrition, training, recovery and targeted supplementation where needed. Together we agree priorities and follow-up assessments. Your shared results and recommendations are also available in the patient portal.

I already have a surgery recommendation. Is this still worth it?

Often, yes. A functional second opinion shows whether conservative treatment is a real option. And if surgery remains the right call, we prepare you for it and support your rehab.

Can I keep seeing my existing doctors?

Yes, absolutely. We are happy to work alongside your existing doctors and specialists, especially when coordination or a second perspective is helpful.

Costs & insurance2

How are services billed?

We are a private practice and bill according to the German medical fee schedule (GOÄ). We welcome privately insured and self-paying patients. We discuss scope and costs in advance; reimbursement depends on your policy and the individual service.

Is this covered by health insurance?

We are a private practice and bill transparently under the German fee schedule for physicians (GOÄ). PKV and Beihilfe reimburse many of our services, though coverage depends on your plan, and some functional diagnostics are self-pay. You'll know what each test costs before we run it.

Sport & performance5

I'm not a pro. Is this still for me?

Yes. The methods are the same; the goals are yours: a first marathon, a comeback after injury, or simply getting measurably better. Ambition counts, not the league.

I'm currently injured. Am I in the right place?

Yes. Injury phases can provide a useful starting point: understand contributing factors, support rehabilitation, and plan the return with clear load stages.

Do you work with individual athletes and clubs?

Yes. We work with individual professionals, groups, and full squads.

Does this replace our medical team?

No. We complement existing structures and coordinate directly where useful.

When are measurements useful?

At pre-season, during high-load phases, for return-to-play, or for follow-up.
